{"id":309,"date":"2012-06-18T10:52:06","date_gmt":"2012-06-18T14:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/academics\/course-information-enrollment\/"},"modified":"2023-05-13T09:29:41","modified_gmt":"2023-05-13T13:29:41","slug":"course-information-enrollment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/faculty-staff-resources\/course-information-enrollment\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Information &amp; Enrollment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ross Course Evaluations: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective Spring 2019, the Ross School of Business will be using the University&#8217;s evaluation system, Blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/umich.bluera.com\/umich\/\">Blue Evaluation System<\/a>:&nbsp;View your specific course evals and reports.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/academics\/course-evaluation-information\/\">How do the online evals work and what do I need to do?<\/a>&nbsp;Read this document for an overview of the evaluation process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to Spring 2019: Use the links below to view your evaluations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/CourseAdmin\/Faculty\">Faculty Course Evaluation Management<\/a>: View your specific course evals and reports.<\/li><li>\u200b<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/CourseEvaluations\/View\">Student Course Evaluations<\/a>: View the public evaluation results available to students.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Curriculum Management and Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/Final-Credit-Hour-Policy.pdf\">Assignment of Credit Hours Policy<\/a>: Courses should clearly indicate one of the following course credit types. <ul><li>Lecture, Seminar, Recitation, Discussion, or Independent Study. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><a href=\"\/academics\/classenrollment-management\">Class\/Enrollment Management<\/a>:&nbsp;View rules for student enrollment in classes, as well as how to issue permissions, manage waitlists, etc.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/course-changes-new-course-creation\/\">Course Changes &amp; New Course Creation<\/a>: Changes to a course&#8217;s credits, major content revision, or the creation of a new course all require approval by the appropriate Faculty Council. Click here for more information about requesting course changes or creating a new course.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teaching Tools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a>: Under Wolverine Access select &#8220;Faculty Business&#8221; and then &#8220;Faculty Center&#8221;. Use the Faculty Center system to send emails to enrolled\/waitlisted students, view how many students have unused permissions, enter grades, etc. For class schedule information go to: <ul><li>Wolverine Access Course Catalog &amp; Schedule: On the front page click on &#8220;UM Course Catalog&#8221; under the PUBLIC header. Course schedule available on WA is updated immediately as changes are made in the system.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.umich.edu\/~regoff\/schedule\/\">University Registrar Time Schedule<\/a>: PDF and online version of all classes scheduled by term. Registrar time schedule pages refresh overnight. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/kresgelibrary\/services\/faculty.html\">Kresge Curriculum Services<\/a>: Find information on submitting course materials,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/umich.instructure.com\/\">Canvas<\/a>, reserve material, etc.<\/li><li><a href=\"mailto:facilities@bus.umich.edu\">Facilities<\/a>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:classroomsupport@bus.umich.edu\">Classroom Support<\/a>\u00a0Requests: While the initial class scheduling and exams are handled by the Ross Registrar&#8217;s Office, any non-class room use or special equipment requests (for classes being held in the Ross School of Business) should be sent directly to Facilities &amp; the Classroom Support team. Be sure to check the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/Calendar\/search.asp\">iMpact Calendar<\/a>\u00a0for room reservation information.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/Networking\/PhotoDirectory.asp\">Photo Directory:<\/a>\u00a0If students have uploaded photos into their iMpact profiles, you can view the photos for your specific class\/section here. Please note that you can also now view photo rosters of your class through Wolverine Access.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/SeatingChart\/Admin\">Seating Chart Tool<\/a>: Create photo based seating charts of your class (available only for classes scheduled in Ross School of Business classrooms).<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/impact\/FaceCardandPhoto\/\">Face Cards<\/a>:\u00a0 In addition to seating charts and class photo pages (which instructors can create), faculty can also request that students create &#8220;face cards&#8221;.\u00a0 If you intend to require these for your class, be sure to alert students via CTools, email and syllabi to bring face cards to your class.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/CourseManagement\/CourseDescriptions.asp\">Course Descriptions<\/a>: View course descriptions and prerequisite listings for Ross courses offered in\u00a0recent terms. Please note that this only displays courses offered for the terms listed.
