Do <strong>NOT<\/strong> wait until the last minute \u2013 students should place their bids well before the deadline on November 9 to ensure that they are able to access the system and enter their bids successfully. Bids cannot be processed after the system has closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What steps do I need to take before bidding?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>: <em>Students must clear all financial holds<\/em> <strong><em>before<\/em><\/strong> <em>the end of bidding<\/em> <strong>(by November 9 at 10AM).<\/strong>&nbsp; Students who fail to clear financial holds by this deadline will not be able to participate in course bidding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: How does it work?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>: Learn about course bidding using the links below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Course Bidding Information:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/register\/biddingtimetable\">Course Bidding Timetable<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/register\/biddingrules\">Rules &amp; Regulations<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/register\/biddingtips\">Tips &amp; Tricks<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Course Bidding Drop-In Hours:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advisors will be available for <a href=\"https:\/\/officehours.it.umich.edu\/queue\/1429\">virtual drop-in hours<\/a> every <strong>Monday 1-2PM<\/strong> and <strong>Wednesday 11AM-12PM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are additional drop-ins for course bidding on <strong>November 5 from 12:30-2PM<\/strong> and <strong>November 9 from 10-11:30AM<\/strong> in the Winter Garden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What classes can I bid on?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>: MAcc students will use the bidding process to bid for <strong>Ross electives<\/strong> only. <strong>DO NOT<\/strong> bid for electives that conflict with your MAcc core (see core information below). Most Ross electives are included in bidding, but not all. Courses not included may be reserved for other student types (ex. MBA students), and others may require permission from the instructor. View a spreadsheet of the specific courses that will be included in bidding <a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/register\/biddingtimetable\">here<\/a> when bidding opens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"w-macc2\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Core Requirements: What To Build Your Schedule Around<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ross Registrar\u2019s Office will pre-load MAcc students into your Winter 2027 core before your bid results are awarded. It is <strong>YOUR<\/strong> responsibility to make sure that you bid for courses that fit around these core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What core courses will I be taking in Winter 2027?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A:<\/strong> Ross Registrar\u2019s Office will load MAccs into two core courses, ACC 561 and ACC 625 in Winter. Core must be taken in the assigned term, and therefore cannot be dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. Are there specific electives I\u2019m required to take?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A.<\/strong> Yes. MAcc students need to take at least one course from a list of specific electives if they do not waive any of the core courses, or two courses from the list if they do waive any of the core courses. View the <a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/curriculum\/core-curriculum\/macc-2\/\">core curriculum<\/a> for MAcc students for the complete list of core and required electives. Students pursuing the Accounting Analytics Concentration should review the requirements <a href=\"https:\/\/michiganross.umich.edu\/graduate\/master-of-accounting\/curriculum\/analytics-concentration#:~:text=The%20Accounting%20Analytics%20Concentration%20empowers,at%20rossgradacadadvising%40umich.edu.\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. Do I need to bid for these electives?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A.<\/strong> Yes. You will want to bid on your core electives. It is your responsibility to make sure that you complete this requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. How many classes should I plan to take in addition to my core?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>MAcc students should plan to take an average of 15 credits total in each of the fall and winter terms, so students should plan to bid\/register for approximately <strong>11.25 credits of electives<\/strong> in Winter 2027. You MUST have a total of <strong>30 graduate credits<\/strong> completed by the end of Winter 2027 in order to graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. What electives or other classes can I take?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. A minimum of 10.5 credit hours of electives are required to complete MAcc degree requirements. Most students will complete these during the Winter term. MAcc students may enroll in any graduate-level elective course for which they meet the prerequisite requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. How do I find out what courses are being offered and when?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. Starting <strong>October 16<\/strong> you can view the full University schedule (including Ross and non-Ross courses) on <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a>, or via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ro.umich.edu\/schedule\/\">Office of the Registrar<\/a> (this site has a helpful .CSV file version that can be downloaded\/sorted for specific units, days, times, etc.). For general overviews of business courses being offered each term, browse the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/CourseManagement\/CourseDescriptions.asp\">Ross course descriptions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. How can I keep track of which core requirements I have or haven\u2019t completed?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. Review your Academic Requirements on <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> to see a live degree audit of your record, or&nbsp; schedule an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/iMpact\/CounselingCalendar\/Default.aspx?umbs_dept_id=125\">MAcc Student Degree Audit Check appointment<\/a> with an academic advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Registration: What Happens After Bidding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All MAcc students will use the general registration process on <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> to pick up their remaining courses and to add\/modify class selections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What happens after course bidding?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A:<\/strong> After the course bidding process, Ross Registrar\u2019s Office will load all of the results into <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> (see <a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/register\/biddingtimetable\">Bidding Timetable<\/a> for details), at which point you will be able to see the classes you were awarded and waitlisted.&nbsp; It can take a few days to sort through the results, so don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t see all of your classes right away. You can then drop\/add classes directly on <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> after your general registration appointment time starts (between <strong>November 16-18<\/strong>). If you are interested in registering for any non-Ross courses, this is the method you will use to add those classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. How do I register for my courses?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. You will automatically be block enrolled into your 5.25 credits of core courses in the Winter term, as well as any courses you were awarded through bidding. To register for additional elective courses, students will use the University\u2019s general registration process on <a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a>. Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/add-drop\">How to Add &amp; Drop Classes<\/a> for more detailed registration instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. Do I need to use the backpack feature in Wolverine Access before registration opens?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. It is recommended that you do, but it is not required. Backpacking is available on <a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> beginning <strong>November 9<\/strong> and allows you to quickly add those classes all at once when your registration appointment time opens. However, be aware that backpacking does not reserve a seat for you in the class \u2013 it is simply a way to put the course in your \u201cshopping cart\u201d so that you can \u201ccheck-out\u201d quickly. If a class in your backpack does not have room available when your registration time opens, you may have to waitlist yourself, and\/or select an alternate open class at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. When is my registration appointment time?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>. The University assigns registration appointment times for graduate students between <strong>November 16-18.<\/strong> The times are determined by the credits completed, and then are randomly assigned. You can view your assigned time on <a href=\"http:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> starting <strong>November 9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. Do I have to register exactly at my appointment time, and when does my registration close?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A. You do not need to register exactly at your appointment time, but some classes will fill quickly, or seats may be opened to non-Ross students after registration has been open for a week or more, so it is to your advantage to register when your appointment time opens. Once your appointment time opens, you can continue to make changes until the <a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/registration-dates\">drop\/add deadlines<\/a> for Winter 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: How can I learn how to use Wolverine Access to drop\/add classes?<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>: <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> is the University website that maintains course registration, student records, address updates, and more. Using your uniqname and password, you can drop or add classes, check your registration or grades, update your address, and request transcripts. If you have questions about how to use or perform certain functions in <a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a> you can log in under Student Business, click on Student Center and search the help menu for detailed step by step instructions and tips.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"w-macc3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Important Rules and Policies: What You Need to Know<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q. I still have questions.
