Students must be in good academic standing in order to pursue dual degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"req\"><\/a>I.&nbsp;&nbsp;Degree Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complete all BBA degree requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>62 business credits (61 for students who entered the BBA program in Fall 2022 or Fall 2023 as First Year students, or Fall 2023 or Fall 2024 as Sophomores), including fixed and floating core, capstone, and electives <a style=\"font-size: revert;\" href=\"\/academics\/core\/BBA\">(see curriculum<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>54 non-business&nbsp;credits&nbsp;<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Three<\/strong>\u00a0of four distribution area requirements. \u00a0Refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lsa.umich.edu\/cg\">LSA\u00a0Course Guide<\/a> to see if a course meets the requirements for a distribution area. \u00a0Ross does not accept AP\u00a0credits towards distribution.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p>Humanities Distribution (HU): 9 credits<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural Sciences (NS) and\/or Mathematical and Symbolic Analysis (MSA): 9 credits\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SM 249 will count toward NS\/MSA distribution for students declared in the BBA\/Kines dual degree.  If a student drops the dual degree later, SM 249 will no longer count toward NS\/MSA distribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Social Sciences (SS): 9 credits (<strong>excluding Econ 101 &amp; 102<\/strong>)<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Foreign Language Proficiency: Fourth-term proficiency in a foreign language is determined by successful completion of a proficiency examination administered by UM, or by completion of a fourth-semester college-level foreign language course. AP&nbsp;coursework which meets fourth-term proficiency fulfills this requirement. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lsa.umich.edu\/content\/dam\/lsa-site-assets\/documents\/saa-documents\/course-bulletin\/LSA%20Bulletin%202017-18.pdf\">LSA&nbsp;Bulletin<\/a>&nbsp;for further details.<\/p>  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p><strong>120 total credits<\/strong> (minimum) of coursework considered acceptable for BBA degree credit.&nbsp; This may include credits from Bus Ad courses,&nbsp;LSA&nbsp;courses and School of Kinesiology courses.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complete all Sport Management <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kines.umich.edu\/student-life\/policies-and-procedures\">degree requirements<\/a>, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prerequisite courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sport Management required courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sport Management electives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distribution courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on Sport Management requirements, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kines.umich.edu\/student-services\/forms-bulletins#sport-management-undergraduate-sm\">a Sport Management Record Sheet or sample 5 year plan<\/a> or contact a <a href=\"http:\/\/kines.umich.edu\/advising\/student-services\/oss\">Sport Management advisor<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintain minimum GPA requirements (check with your advisor in both schools for minimum requirements).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complete 150 total credits (minimum). &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"det\"><\/a>II.&nbsp;&nbsp;Degree Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p>Sport Management is the only program within the School of Kinesiology that is eligible for dual degrees with Business.&nbsp;<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Students apply to the Second Level of the Sport Management program during their BBA Sophomore year.&nbsp; Once admitted to the Second Level, students may then apply for dual degrees. &nbsp;For more information, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kines.umich.edu\/student-life\/policies-and-procedures\">here<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Students may choose either the Ross School of Business or the School of Kinesiology as their home school.&nbsp;&nbsp;There are several things to consider when choosing a home school.&nbsp; Please review the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1I9Vdhh0RNj8uxc-IwrW-8zQs1bQbe0eC7a8qlFQUvB8\/edit?usp=sharing\">Home School FAQ document<\/a>&nbsp;for more information and reach out to a dual degree advisor if you have further questions.<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Students pursuing dual degrees may share a maximum of 15.0 credits of business courses needed to meet BBA degree requirements towards the requirements of the non-business major, per approval.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Students pursuing an academic minor may share a&nbsp;maximum&nbsp;of 3.0 credits of business courses needed to meet BBA requirements towards the requirements of the academic minor.<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Consult with your academic advisor(s) for specific policies within your non-business major or minor.<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Students will not graduate until an advisor from&nbsp;<u>each<\/u>&nbsp;degree program confirms completion of all necessary degree requirements.<\/p> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"adv\"><\/a>III.&nbsp;&nbsp;Advising<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p>BBA degree advising is provided by a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/impact\/CounselingCalendar\/AcademicServices\/\">BBA dual degree advisor<\/a>&nbsp;in the Ross Office of Undergraduate Programs.&nbsp;<\/p> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>Sport Management&nbsp;advising is provided by a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/kines.umich.edu\/advising\/student-services\/oss\">Sport Management<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/kines.umich.edu\/advising\/student-services\/oss\">&nbsp;advisor<\/a>.<\/p> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"form\"><\/a>IV.&nbsp;&nbsp;Degree Forms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Download and complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rossweb.bus.umich.edu\/academics\/degree-status\/degree-requirements\/\">degree checklist and course planning tool<\/a>&nbsp;to determine how and when you will complete your dual degrees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students admitted as BBA First Year and Preferred Admission should scroll down to the Undergraduate section and select the template designated for \u201cStudents admitted as First Years\u201d for their appropriate year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students admitted as Sophomores (Transfer &amp;
