Admitted students will work with a minor advisor in the Office of Undergraduate Programs to declare the minor, confirm they are meeting the minor requirements, and determine the appropriate coursework from the options below. &nbsp;Students may view the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1kwxxOK8jr5Kjr6abL0OHRlvPOeynpkjyiMwpJgFi-Ok\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Business Minor checklist&nbsp;<\/a>to plan their minor program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Co-Requisite Requirement:&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ECON 101 Principles of Economics (Microeconomics) must be completed by graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Includes IB, A-level, or transfer credit for the exact UM course equivalent (not departmental credit, e.g., ECON 101x)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AP credit will NOT fulfill this requirement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can be completed for a letter grade or as Pass\/Fail grading basis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ECON 401 will also fulfill the ECON 101 co-requisite requirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core Requirements (12 credits; can be completed in any order):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACC 302&nbsp;Financial Accounting (3) <em><u><strong>OR<\/strong><\/u><\/em> ACC 471 Accounting Principles (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FIN 302 Making Financial Decisions (3) <u><strong><em>OR<\/em><\/strong><\/u> TO 302 Managing Business Operations (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MKT 302&nbsp;Marketing Management (3) <strong><em><u>OR<\/u><\/em><\/strong> MO 302 Positively Leading People and Organizations (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STRATEGY 302 Business Strategy (3) <strong><em><u>OR<\/u><\/em><\/strong><a name=\"Action-Based Learning\"><\/a>Action-Based Learning course from the following list (subject to change):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BA 453 Action Learning Projects (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BA 445 Base&nbsp;of the Pyramid: Business Innovation and Social Impact (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BA 455\/456\/457 Living Business Learning Experience (3 each)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ES 395 Entrepreneurial Management (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MKT&nbsp;401 Marketing Management II (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MO 355 Magnify Immersion Program (6 credit version only: 3 count as elective 3 count as ABL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MO 463 Creativity at Work (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TO 465 Management&nbsp;Consulting (3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TO 482 Projects in Operations, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (7.5)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Completion of any of the following courses prior to Fall 2012 will substitute as follows:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACC 271 or ACC 300 for ACC 302; ACC 272 for ACC 301; BIT 311 for TO 311; FIN 300 for FIN 302; MKT 300 for MKT 302; MO 300 for MO 302;&nbsp;OMS 311 for TO 302<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a name=\"Electives\"><\/a>Elective Options (3 credits minimum required):<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Business minor students must complete at least 3 credits of additional 300 or 400 level business courses from the Ross School of Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Additional core courses and ES 250 are also accepted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ES 310 or business departmental credit <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">will not<\/span> fulfill this requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CLASS FEES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no additional tuition for pursuing the Ross minor.&nbsp; However,&nbsp;some Ross classes have been approved to charge class fees.&nbsp; The Registrar&#8217;s Office keeps a&nbsp;<a title=\"List of courses with class fees\" href=\"https:\/\/ro.umich.edu\/tuition-residency\/tuition-fees\/class-fees\">list of courses<\/a>&nbsp;with approved class fees along with the maximum charge allowed for that course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View course descriptions <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/CourseManagement\/CourseDescriptions.asp\">here<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact <a href=\"mailto:rossugacadadvising@umich.edu\">rossugacadadvising@umich.edu<\/a>. &nbsp;Admitted students may <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bus.umich.edu\/impact\/CounselingCalendar\/AcademicServices\/\">schedule a Business Minor Advising appointment<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>(return to the <a href=\"\/academics\/businessminor\">Business Minor homepage<\/a>)<\/em><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students admitted to the Business Minor&nbsp;will be required to complete 15 credits of Ross School of Business coursework, in addition to the co-requisite ECON 101.
