View&nbsp;<em>Wolverine Access &gt;Student Center&nbsp;<\/em>to view your registration appointment date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in lockstep programs &#8211; please contact your program office to inquire when your program plans to register you for Spring\/Summer classes. <strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;students will financial holds will be blocked from registration. Questions about a financial hold should be directed to<a href=\"mailto:UM-SFO@umich.edu\"> Student Financial Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New entering students, starting in Spring\/Summer 2026:\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in Federal aid, you must submit a 2025-2026 FAFSA with school code 002325 for University of Michigan Ann Arbor\u00a0before <span class=\"txt-red\">June 30, 2026<\/span>. Upon receiving the FAFSA, we will either request for additional documents or create a Financial Aid Award Notice within 1-2 weeks from receiving\u00a0all required\u00a0documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Undergraduate student becoming a graduate student in Summer 2026:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Students that applied for federal aid as an undergraduate\u00a0student in\u00a0Fall 2025 and\/or Winter 2026, and will now be a Graduate student in Summer\u00a02026<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will need to update your existing 2025 &#8211; 2026 FAFSA through <a href=\"http:\/\/studentaid.gov\">studentaid.gov<\/a>, by changing your grade status from undergraduate to a graduate student than contact <a href=\"mailto:rossfinaid@umich.edu\">rossfinaid@umich.edu<\/a> to identify your unique situation. This will help us look for the updated FAFSA and ensure timely processing of\u00a0Spring\/Summer aid.\u00a0Be sure to include your UMID number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Steps to change status within a completed FAFSA:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to StudentAid.gov using your FSA ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the Status Center Dashboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your processed FAFSA submission from the \u201cMy Activity\u201d page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sure to select the &#8220;2025-2026&#8221; FAFSA: Select \u201cStart Your Correction\u201d if an action is required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201cTake Action\u201d if you are making a voluntary correction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201cMake a Correction\u201d to start a new correction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit your corrected information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact <a href=\"mailto:rossfinaid@umich.edu\">rossfinaid@umich.edu<\/a> to identify your change from undergraduate to graduate status. Include your UMID number<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continuing\u00a0Students attending Spring\/Summer 2026:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A Spring\/Summer Financial Aid Award Notice will be automatically created if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have the current aid year&#8217;s FAFSA on file. And all associated documents with the FAFSA completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered at least half time&nbsp;for Spring\/Summer classes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u00a0do not have a current year FAFSA on file, you will need to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/studentaid.gov\">studentaid.gov<\/a> to submit a 2025-2026 FAFSA.\u00a0The 2025-2026 FAFSA is available until\u00a0<span class=\"txt-red\">June 30,2026<\/span>. If you miss this deadline you will not be eligible for federal aid. If in need of borrowing loans, students would have to explore private loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Grad PLUS \/ Private Loans:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in need of Grad PLUS Loan or Private Loan borrowing <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-theme-palette-1-color\">must submit a new application<\/mark><\/strong> with borrowing terms of&nbsp;Spring\/Summer (months of : May to August).
