Kresge Library Services provides research, instruction and curriculum support for the faculty, students and staff of the Ross School of Business. We are proud to offer Ross faculty and staff one of the finest suites of resources and services available at any business school.

Library liaisons work with the faculty, Doctoral candidates, and staff of Ross departments to ensure that we meet the unique needs of each area.

Assisting Your Scholarship

  • Work directly with faculty and PhD students to support their research, including reference question assistance.
  • Provide databases, articles, reports and ebooks that support research in all fields of study pursued by faculty and students in the classroom and beyond.
  • Assist in preparing for interviews with the media by pulling together articles to brief you on the subject.
  • Assist in literature reviews, finding copies of articles and books not held in Kresge’s digital collections.
  • Provide access to currently available data sets at Ross and the University.
  • Coordinate and manage research data purchases and acquisitions available via WRDS, Great Lakes, and other platforms for the Ross Community.
  • Liaise with University of Michigan Advanced Research Computing (ARC/Great Lakes) to provide compute resources to faculty and PhDs
  • Assist with copyright questions for your research and in the classroom.

Supporting Your Classes

  • Assist faculty in finding readings and cases to support their learning objectives.
  • Supporting the Ross curriculum through coordinating required course materials in electronic format (via Study.Net) with an optional student print solution and/or coordinating required eTextbooks with our Unizin partnership.
  • Providing an Assignment and Exam Review Program (enabling faculty to best utilize classroom time)
  • Supporting Canvas, the University of Michigan’s learning management system (LMS).
  • Support action-based learning (such as MAP) through a unique and essential program of embedded librarians for each team of Ross MBA and BBA students. Kresge Librarians are assigned to work with over 350 action-based learning teams a year to assist in the students’ information needs.
  • Support students in finding information relevant to their projects and assignments.
  • Maintain the Ross Syllabi Archives that provides students with the most recent syllabi for Ross classes. Librarians are able to work with faculty who have greater archival needs.
