Michigan Ross Faculty Receive Prestigious Recognitions

Two Michigan Ross faculty members were recently recognized for their exceptional and impactful contributions to the business world and society.

Clinical Assistant Professor Marcus Collins was recognized by Thinkers50 and Deloitte in their 2023 Radar List of 50 Thinkers with ideas most likely to shape the future. Collins was recognized for his expertise in the areas of brand strategy and consumer behavior that has helped bridge the gap between academia and industry for startups and some of the most reliable and valuable companies in the market. Thinkers50 credited Collins for “creating culturally contagious ideas that inspire people to take action.”

Associate Professor Eric Schwartz was recently invited to the White House by the Office of the Vice President. Schwartz was invited for a convening of national leaders to accelerate the removal of lead pipes across the country by the end of the decade as part of the Biden-Harris Get the Lead Out Partnership. Schwartz was invited as a result of his work as the co-founder of BlueConduit, a Michigan Ross startup that has helped to hasten the removal of lead pipes in Flint and other communities by using machine learning to predict the location of lead pipes.

Congratulations to both Collins and Schwartz for these prestigious recognitions, and thank you for your important and impactful work.
