The BBA Outgoing Exchange program offers undergraduate students two main options for a semester abroad: Ross Semester Exchange and LSA’s CGIS, each with unique features and academic focuses.
MBA Outgoing Exchange Students
The MBA Outgoing Exchange program provides MBA students at Ross Global Initiatives with opportunities for international study, encompassing pre-application research, a comprehensive application process, and post-placement steps, all supported with financial and visa guidance.
Short-Term Outgoing Exchange Programs
Ross Global Initiatives’ short-term programs are 1-3 week global experiences with business elective credits, featuring a selective application process and varying yearly. They offer financial aid for BBA students and require personal management of visas, health, and safety needs.
Incoming Exchange Students

Ross Semester Exchange offers students the opportunity to directly enroll in a top international business school while earning business elective credits.
This program can also be very competitive for certain partner schools and requires a high degree of independence and comfort navigating ambiguity.
What We Do
The Global Initiatives team manages a wide range of international business opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and exchange students at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. From semester exchange at distinguished partner schools worldwide, to dynamic action-based global courses, U-M undergraduates and graduates have a wide variety of opportunities to go global with Ross. These international experiences provide the foundation for students to lead as culturally-intelligent global citizens, in both their personal lives and in their careers.
