Welcome to Ross Financial Aid

Daily Virtual Open Advising Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday  9:00 am – 11:00 am EST
Tuesday and Thursday             1:30 pm – 3:30 pm EST

During the above open advising times, you may send a message (with your UMID number) through Google Chat to rossfinaid@umich.edu to initiate a virtual meeting. Messages will be answered in the order received, (wait time may exist). Once we are ready to assist, we will send you an invite to join us in a Google Meet room. We will wait no longer than 3 minutes for you to join before ending the meeting and moving onto the next meeting. Ross Financial Aid will not be available for virtual open advising outside of these times. Times are in Standard Eastern time zone.

Required Reading

Required Reading is the reference and resource guide for students who are awarded financial aid at the University of Michigan. We call it Required Reading because it answers many questions students ask about their financial aid and provides information you must know in order to receive financial aid at U-M. You are expected to read it in order to understand the rights and responsibilities that go along with receiving your aid.

Read the Office of Financial Aid Publications and Newsletters for important tips and information.
