Deborah Kalp, director of corporate accounts, Executive Education

Having reached 20 years of service at Michigan Ross, I’ve decided to retire.

I joined Executive Education after 25 years in the automotive industry, where I worked as a director of quality assurance and transitioned to sales. I started a manufacturer’s representative company, where I sold CNC machined products and traffic logistics to automotive clients for 10 years before joining Ross.

My transition to Executive Education included selling custom and open enrollment programs to executives around the globe. I’ve traveled to events with Ross faculty and staff from the Office of Advancement, Executive MBA Program, Executive Education, Office of Action-Based Learning, Master of Supply Chain Management Program, Tauber Institute, and more to expand our global network further. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked on the development team for the Accelerated Management Development Certificate program. I’m proud to reflect on the many executives and custom clients I brought into Executive Education, many of whom still work with us today.

Now that I’m retiring, I’m excited to spend more time with my family, especially my five grandchildren, and travel as often as possible. I live in the Florida panhandle, which allows me to get back to scuba diving, develop more hobbies, and prioritize myself!
