Thomn Bell Receives 13th Annual Distinguished Diversity Leaders Award

On Jan. 28, Thomn Bell, director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Michigan Ross, was honored as a recipient of the 13th Annual Distinguished Diversity Leaders Award. The award was established in 2008 by the Office of the Provost and University Human Resources to recognize and celebrate staff members’ dedication and commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming campus culture.

Bell was nominated for the DDLA by his colleague, Justine Shelton, DEI program manager.

“There was an instant desire to nominate Dr. Thomn Bell for the 13th Annual Distinguished Diversity Leaders Award,” said Shelton. “He is very deserving of this award. His passion, hard work, and dedication to DEI and the Ross community are exemplary. I am so proud to work alongside him and our entire DEI team. No matter what hardships and obstacles we may face, Thomn is, and will remain, a strong advocate and ally in ensuring access and opportunities for all and proactively working towards creating a sense of belonging and inclusion for the Ross community.”
