Grant Administration

The Ross Sponsored Research Office at Ross ensures timely, accurate proposal submissions to a variety of University of Michigan internal grants, federal sponsored and foundation grants. Services include budget development, document support, and reviewing applications to ensure that they meet both Sponsor and University guidelines. Marybeth mbmyers@umich.edu invoices and tracks the financials for the MAP, Tauber, Erb, and DNEP projects. She processes all funded student projects (MAP, Tauber, Erb, DNEP), and other legal agreements to ensure that all faculty and staff representing the University have the appropriate level of legal review and coverage.

Adriana amorar@umich.edu processes all HSIP, Non-Disclosure, Data Use, Unfunded Student Projects, Junior Editing Payments, and PHD Funding Applications to ensure that all faculty and staff representing the University have the appropriate level of legal review and coverage.  This process includes obtaining signatures from the University for any agreement related to work done as a member of the institution.

Signing Authority Assistance

DO NOT sign any Agreements, NDA or DUA, you do not have the authority to sign agreements. Only the Regents of the University of Michigan or their designees (does not include you) are authorized to sign agreements and contracts. The Sponsored Research Office can help you obtain signature for your grants, contracts, purchases, and agreements.  This process includes obtaining signatures from the ORSP or Procurement Legal Team at the University of Michigan for any agreement related to work done as a member of the institution.

Research Subject Payments

The Ross Sponsored Research Office administers research subject payments. Please find instructions at Ross Researcher Guide for Human Subject Incentive Payment (HSIP) Requests . For further assistance, please contact Adriana Morariu at amorar@umich.edu. You need to use a shortcode or project grant number to process HSIP requests.

If you have a federal government sponsored grant (e.g., NSF, NIH), please DO NOT purchase HSIP gift cards on your own, you may not be reimbursed.
