Guidelines
Nominations
- Awards are issued annually
- Up to six awards are given for staff and up to two for supervisors
- Compelling nominations include detailed, descriptive examples to get the point across. For instance, “S/he is an excellent coworker” is much more supportive and convincing when followed with specific information about what makes them great. Use stories to bring experiences to life.
- Nominators must identify themselves, but may request anonymity for their name and nomination to be concealed
- Each nomination is placed in the nominee’s personnel file regardless of whether or not they receive an award
- Nominations received after the deadline are considered in the following year
- Nominations for staff who have direct reports (not temp) should be submitted in the Supervisor category. All others should be submitted as a staff nomination
