The Ross CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) Implementation Team has been busy formulating a project roadmap, finalizing the RFP (Request for Proposal), and has begun working with Procurement on the purchase of the following products identified by Sierra Cedar to meet the needs of Ross.

  • Salesforce CRM Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Social Studio
  • Salesforce Communities
  • a robust event management tool
  • an online form builder to collect information
  • a gmail integration component for viewing and editing CRM data from your inbox
  • an extract, transform and load (ETL) data integration tool
  • a data backup solution

We continue to work with our implementation partner, Sierra Cedar, to formulate a roadmap for delivering the tools listed above to all Ross units. We are also working on a data governance structure to outline the expectations, structure, and design of the Ross Salesforce org.

After meeting with all of the units and weighing the priorities with Sierra Cedar, there were some hard contractual deadlines that we are up against with some of the existing CRM systems. This influenced our decision to begin our project by migrating Ross Marketing and Communications off of their current CRM, RightNow Technologies (RNT), onto Salesforce. After the data migration and testing are complete in Salesforce CRM, we will begin piloting email campaigns using the Marketing Cloud.

Once we have finalized our contract with Salesforce, we will schedule a formal kick-off meeting. We are aiming for September 2016 and an invitation will be sent to this same distribution list.
