Strategy Governance Group

We are pleased to announce that a Strategy Governance group has been formulated for the Ross Insight initiative. This team is responsible for governance around data, CRM implementations and budget recommendations. It represents the 5 major disciplines:

  • Admissions
  • Academics
  • Development/Alumni
  • Executive Education
  • Marketing & Communications

This team has been working on a roadmap for the CRM implementation beyond Phase 1 (Marketing and Admissions).

The group recently conducted an exercise in which they defined what data elements are needed from other units in order to truly excel in their department. Below you will see 6 major Ross units in orange with lines drawn to the units in blue who are requesting access to their data. The team has further drilled down to the top 5 specific data points needed to help illustrate the need for a carefully governed shared system and to determine which units should be on-boarded to Ross Insight next.

Marketing & Communications

This month the project team focused on the development of a Custom Subscription Center where prospective students can adjust their own email preferences by program. They can do this by accessing a link at the bottom of the Ross marketing emails.

Marketing Cloud administrative training was provided by our partner Balance Digital utilizing a “train the trainer” concept. Last week we were able to combine the Marketing team’s contact records with MPathways student application data into the same test environment in Salesforce to see what magical things happen. Stay tuned!

Admissions

Great news for the admissions teams! We are negotiating a daily feed directly from Collegenet, the 3rd party admissions application system, to automatically load applicant data directly into Salesforce for in-progress applications, as well as submitted applications. This will allow our admissions teams to have the full Collegenet data set of their applicants in a much more timely fashion, allowing for more accurate evaluations and less manual data manipulation.
