Accessibility

I have a disability, and I have a service animal. Are they allowed in the Michigan Ross Complex?

Service animals are specifically defined as dogs or miniature horses that have been individually trained to do work to perform tasks for a person with a disability. Service animals can be trained to perform a variety of tasks or work to assist an individual with a disability.

Is this animal a service animal required because of a disability?
What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?

I have an emotional support animal. Can they visit the Michigan Ross Complex?

Pets and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support do not qualify as service animals, and they are not allowed in the Ross School of Business. A Michigan Ross Operations team member will be happy to answer any questions you have.

What are the building’s accessibility features for people who are blind or have low vision?

All signs at Michigan Ross are embossed in Braille.

Are wheelchairs available at Michigan Ross in case of emergency?

Yes, we do have a limited number of wheelchairs available at the Ross information desk.

Where are the elevators located at Michigan Ross?

There are multiple elevators that cover the near totality of the Michigan Ross Complex. There are passenger elevators in the Ross building, but please note that, after hours, only the LL floors through the 2nd floor and 6th floor are accessible. Passenger elevators are available in Blau and cover the LL through the 5th floor. There is a smaller passenger elevator in the Kresge building servicing floors 1 through 4. For deliveries, there is a freight elevator by the dock in the Ross building. Some elevators are offline due to an extensive construction project currently in progress at the Michigan Ross Complex, including the elevator in Blau behind the Executive Dining Room, the ones in the Executive Learning and Conference Center (Executive Residence), and the one located in the Wyly building. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Where are gender-neutral bathrooms located at Michigan Ross?

They are located on the 4th floor of the Blau and Kresge buildings and on the lower level and the faculty floors of the Ross building.

Does the Michigan Ross Complex have a prayer space available?

Yes, we have an Interfaith prayer space available in the Kresge Building, room K1540P.

I need to access a personal care room. What are my options?

Space is available on the lower level of Blau Hall in room B0552. The room has a refrigerator and a lock and can be used as a lactation room. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please download the Blau personal room user calendar to reserve it.

How do I locate a certain room or space at Michigan Ross?

Rooms in the Michigan Ross Complex are numbered using the building name, floor, and room number. For example, R223 would be located on the second floor of the Ross building. Please review the Michigan Ross Complex maps for more information.

What are the Michigan Ross Complex’s hours of operation?

Where is the Michigan Ross Welcome Desk located?

The desk is located in the Winter Garden near the Tappan Avenue entrance. It follows the same hours of operation as the Michigan Ross Complex.

Does the Michigan Ross Welcome Desk accept food deliveries?

No, we cannot accept food deliveries on your behalf. Please plan accordingly.

Where is the Ross Annex located?

It is located at 914 Hill Street, Suite 229.

My room is too hot/too cold. What can I do?

Are there printers at Michigan Ross?

Yes, there are. To locate the closest printer, please visit the MPrint site.

Is there an ATM at Michigan Ross?

Yes, it is located on the first floor of Kresge near the walk-up IT desk.

Are there vending machines at Michigan Ross?

There are vending machines for food and electronics. Both vending machines are located on the first floor of Kresge near the walk-up IT desk.

I need to gain access to a locked room. Who should I contact?

How do I access the lockers at Michigan Ross?

Are there microwaves at Michigan Ross?

Yes, there are four microwaves in two different locations. Two are located next to the Michigan Ross IT walk-up desk, and two are located next to Seigle Café in the Davidson Winter Garden.

How can I request name tags or name tents for class?

Lost Items

Does the Michigan Ross Complex have a Lost and Found?

We have partnered with Pixit to launch a new online platform to manage our Lost and Found. For more information, including our updated guidelines, please visit our Services page.

I lost something, but I couldn’t find it at the Michigan Ross Lost and Found. What are my options?

The U-M Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) does collect lost items as well. Please visit their website for more information on retrieving lost items.

Mail

Where are deliveries accepted?

Mail and packages are delivered to the dock.

Are there FedEx drop boxes at Michigan Ross?

The Michigan Ross FedEx box is now out of service. Faculty and staff can schedule a FedEx Delivery to be picked up from the dock (not in the box).

Are there UPS drop boxes at Michigan Ross?

No, there are no UPS drop boxes at Michigan Ross.

MCard

Where can I get a new MCard?

There are several MCard issuing stations located across the Ann Arbor campus. You can find your closest location on the Finance Department’s website. If groups of ten or more individuals need an Mcard, please contact mcardadmin@umich.edu for group production options.

I need to gain MCard access to a particular lab or space at Michigan Ross. Who should I contact?

Safety

An automated external defibrillator (AED)

Are there any resources for reporting unwanted or suspicious behavior at Michigan Ross?

Yes, please don’t hesitate to contact DPSS by calling 734-763-1131 or emailing dpss-safety-security@umich.edu. If it’s an emergency, please call 911.

Where are the Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) located at Michigan Ross?

The AED program is regulated by Environment, Health & Safety at the University of Michigan. They are located at the following locations:
Och Fitness Center – Behind the Front Desk
1st Floor Kitchen Staff Office
Kresge Hall, 5th Floor

Where are the fire extinguishers located at Michigan Ross?

They are located throughout the Michigan Ross complex.

Supplies

I urgently need a calculator, charger, or similar item. Can I borrow one from the Ross information desk?

Please note that the Michigan Ross information desk only lends these items in highly urgent cases. We have a minimal supply. Please plan accordingly. An ID is required to borrow items.
