Marketing & Communications
IP Warming
The project team is gearing up to begin the IP (Internet Protocol) warming process for Marketing Cloud starting February 7th. IP warming is the practice of gradually increasing the volume of mail sent via a dedicated IP address that will begin in February with Graduate Program email campaigns. This gradual process helps to establish a reputation with ISPs (Internet Service Providers) as a legitimate email sender so that Ross emails do not get blocked or marked as spam.
New! Custom Subscription Center
For the first time, the Ross Marketing and Communications team will now be able to offer a link to an email subscription center in the bottom of their recruitment emails. This will allow recipients to select what programs or departments they receive emails from without having to unsubscribe from Ross emails completely, creating a more personalized experience.
Alumni Email Campaign
The newest data edition to the Salesforce org will be the Ross Development and Alumni Relations marketing email campaigns that are currently being sent out of Marketing and Communication’s RNT instance which is being replaced by the Ross Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud. This means that email campaigns for a select set of alumni communications will be sent out of Marketing Cloud.
Salesforce 101
As part of the monthly updates, the project team would like to begin incorporating an educational component to help prepare you for everything Salesforce has to offer. This Salesforce 101 section will be located within the documentation section of the Ross Insight website for future reference.
What is an Opportunity
An Opportunity in the Ross Insight Salesforce instance is where we track the various stages of the student lifecycle. This will take us through the recruitment, applicant, admit, matriculation, as well as enrollment stages. Each prospective student contact record will have an Opportunity record for each academic program or executive education course they express an interest in, apply for, are admitted to, or complete.
