Carolyn Yoon
Associate Dean, Global Initiatives
Carolyn Yoon is the Associate Dean of Ross’ Global Initiatives Office, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing the school’s global research, education, and outreach efforts. Her research focuses on understanding the psychological and neural mechanisms underlying judgment and decision-making processes across the lifespan, particularly in consumer contexts and within diverse social and cultural environments. By taking a multi-level, multi-systems approach, she seeks to uncover the basic processing mechanisms that drive behavioral outcomes in areas such as consumer decision-making, health, and well-being. Carolyn’s work considers the interplay between neurobiology, environment, and behavior to generate theoretical insights that not only advance academic knowledge but also have meaningful implications for consumers, practitioners, and public policymakers globally. Through her work at the Global Initiatives Office, she helps bridge the gap between research and real-world applications in an interconnected world.
