Carrie Henderson
Global Education Advisor, Global Initiatives
Before making the move to Ann Arbor, Carrie grew up in Arkansas with a lifelong passion for traveling to and learning about other countries and cultures. They received a BA in Linguistics with a focus in teaching English as a second language from the University of Central Arkansas and spent virtually every moment of their free time volunteering with incoming international students. During this time, they studied French, Mandarin, Japanese, and American Sign Language, and studied abroad at Seoul National University’s Korean Language Program. They moved to Michigan in 2019 to work in the U-M Registrar’s Office, then worked in Ross ITS as an Admissions Assistant for both graduate and undergraduate business programs before finally joining the Global Initiatives team. In their free time, they like playing video games, singing karaoke, and lazing around with their cats, Peanut Butter and Jelly.
