Critical Data Management Procedures

The university identifies some parts of your data as “critical” data to the operation of various iMpact processes and other Ross administrative systems. Therefore, you cannot update that data within iMpact, and you will have to contact the appropriate administrative office to correct it.

Please follow the guidelines to make any changes to your information. The procedures will vary depending on the type of data and your affiliation (faculty/staff, student, or alumni).

Students: if your Name, Gender, or Section is Wrong in iMpact

Please contact the Ross Registrar’s Office at rossregistrarsoffice@umich.edu to submit the change – they will authorize the change and initiate the processes to update the Ross database. Please include your university id and uniqname in all correspondences.

Students: if your Student Type or Year in the Program is Wrong in iMpact

Please contact the Ross Career Development Office (CDO) to request these changes. They will authorize the changes and initiate the change process. You can reach CDO at RossCDO@umich.edu. Please include your uniqname in all correspondence.

Faculty/Staff: if your Name is wrong in iMpact

Please follow these instructions in Wolverine Access to update your name or create/edit a preferred name. The changes will populate to iMpact.

Alumni: if your Name, Gender, Type, Ross Degree, Ross Graduation Year, or Section is Wrong in iMpact

Please contact Ross Alumni Relations at rossalumni@umich.edu to request a change. They will authorize the change and initiate the change process.
