BBA Milestone Degree Requirement (IDO/ILP)

Requirement Description

The Inclusive Leaders Pathway (ILP), previously known as Identity and Diversity in Organizations (IDO), is a degree requirement that is designed to introduce Ross students to the concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging in the contexts of their business education and roles as future business leaders.  Students must complete all components of the milestone requirement, as outlined below, to receive the BBA degree.  This includes successfully completing all milestone assignments embedded in the Ross Signature Learning Experiences or other delivery methods.

First Years (Class of 2026, ILP Milestone): As first year students, you will complete your first Inclusive Leaders Pathway Milestone through BA 100. Your BA 100 Canvas site will have information about how to fulfill the requirement. You can also reference the BBA Bulletin, talk with your academic advisor, or reach out to BBAmilestone@umich.edu.

Sophomores (Class of 2025, IDO Milestone):  You will complete your Identity Milestone through BA 200. Your BA 200 Canvas site will have information about how to fulfill the requirement. Juniors (Class of 2024, IDO Milestone):  You will complete your Diversity Milestone as part of RIS. Your RIS Canvas site will have information about how to fulfill the requirement. You can also reference the BBA Bulletin, talk with your academic advisor, or reach out to BBAmilestone@umich.edu.

Seniors (Class of 2023, IDO Milestone):  You will complete your Organizations Milestone through an online Canvas module prior to attending a co-curricular peer-led discussion session and corresponding reflection paper. Additional details about the Organizations Milestone, including how to sign up for your session and turn in your paper, will be available on Canvas during the Fall semester.
